The Meeting Room & events terrace is fully wheelchair accessible. The path from the main entrance on Ashley St has three steps, but there is a side entrance (gate) via the West Princes Lane that is ramped and fully accessible. Woodlands Community Garden, 101 West Princes Street, Glasgow, G4 9BY
Woodlands Community Garden is partially wheelchair accessible, we are currently working on a Garden Accessibility Project with a steering group looking to make improvements to making our Garden more inclusive.
Currently, (Reviewed 14.04.26) - The main access is through the entrance gate at 101 West Princes Street, Glasgow, G4 9BY. The garden gate is unlocked and can be opened by a manual latch. A single main path leads into the central area of the garden. The main path consists of a fine gravel surface which is unbound but compacted. Please note that outwith the central access path the garden has uneven surfaces in a variety of materials and pathways may be overgrown and unweeded in places. There is no bathroom in the Community Garden. However, during our Garden sessions we can provide access to a wheelchair accessible, gender-neutral bathroom, located approximately 100 metres away in the Woodlands Community Meeting Room at 66 Ashley St, G3 6HW via lane adjacent to the Meeting Room 'West Princes Lane'. This accessible entrance via the lane is ramped and fully accessible. More info here
Statement 14/04/26
We acknowledge that Woodlands Community Garden is not the most accessible space. We have begun work to develop an accessibility action plan, Glasgow Access Panel undertook a survey of the site last year and an Accessibility Steering group has recently formed to support this work. As a small charity with limited means, making the Community Garden a more accessible place is something that will take time but we are committed to doing this work.
GAMH Community Hub, 23-25 Ashley Street, G3 6DR
Woodlands Community hires GAMH Community Hub for our Warm Welcome Cafe every Sunday (12am-4pm) and for our Anti-Racist Film Club Programme (September-Feb) and for occasional one off events.
The ground floor of GAMH Community Hub has an accessible entrance via the front entrance; there is ramped access around to the cafe via 4 doors. It is clearly signed. The upstairs of Flourish House has around 30 steps however there is a lift to the upper level accessible at the entrance. There is a wheelchair accessible bathroom located on the ground floor.
