ABOUT WOODLANDS COMMUNITY MEETING ROOM

In 2016 Glasgow City Council granted Woodlands Community a long-term lease on the derelict gap site on the corner of Ashley St and West Princes St. The site had lain empty since the mid 1990s after the last building was demolished due to mining subsidence.

In 2016-17 we undertook major building works to bring the site back into community use and our new Community Meeting Room opened its doors to the public in October 2017.

You can follow the transformation of the site in the short films below.
