Active Hope Online Course (Free)

The current covid-19 crisis asks a lot of us: managing many changes and uncertainties, both individual and global. Many people wonder how we can use this time to effect lasting positive change. This course gives us well-tested tools to empower us: ‘The Work That Reconnects’, a form of transformative groupwork developed by Joanna Macy.  It aims to reconnect us, empower us to reclaim our lives, our communities, and our planet by providing tools and practices that offer insights into how we can work together, open our hearts and build a truly life sustaining society.

Under the supportive guidance of experienced facilitators, we weave our way from gratitude into honouring our pain for the world, and then find new and empowering perspectives that inform our actions.

The 6 sessions build on each other, and can also be done on their own. We will do our best to make the Zoom sessions as relaxing as possible, including a break.

Our facilitator, Ratnadevi, has been leading many workshops and retreats in The Work That Reconnects. Her practice is embedded in decades of practice and teaching of mindfulness and Buddhism. She is also a Dalcroze Rhythymics music and movement teacher which informs an organic and creative leadership style. Another influence is NVC, Nonviolent or Compassionate Communication. www.livingmindfulness.net

The Work that Reconnects helps people discover and experience their innate connections with each other and the self-healing powers of the web of life, transforming despair and overwhelm into inspired, collaborative action.
