This Anti-Racist library will immensely benefit our community. Housing books for everyone focusing on affirmative narratives for folk traditionally underrepresented/marginalized within the white dominant narrative. We will stock kids books, young adult books and books for adult readers. These books hope to educate adults and children alike. The adult selection is a back catalog of books that our Anti-Racist Community Reflection group have been reading collectively to date.

This Anti-Racist Community Reflection group have been meeting fortnightly since May 2020 after the murder of George Floyd. We have been doing a lot reflecting about our response to the current international outcry for racial justice. This is a regular fortnightly digital safe space where anyone can join and be commitment to anti-racist work.

This Library will benefit our community for the days, months and years to come. Please join us for the launch! Have your say in what you would like to see in this new library. We want to give voice to the you all and hear your thoughts, feelings and ideas. There is a lot of potential! Both kids and adults welcome!

In this launch we will:
- introduce the idea of the library, show some books
- ask for questions
- ask for suggestions, a bit of a brainstorm perhaps, let people think outside of the box and dream a little
- share a children's story
- some words and info from Woodlands anti-racism group
- read a poem

We will have a policy whereby anyone can rent the books for free. We will also have a strict quarantining system in place for sanitizing the books between users.
