Solstice Storytelling event for Refugee Festival Scotland

We are honoured to be apart of Refugee Festival Scotland 2022.

Woodlands Community’s Anti-Racist group invite you to join us for a family-friendly day of poetry, storytelling, planting socialising and fun.

In the Millennium Park. 69 Ashley St, G3 6HW.

- Share knowledge, stories and solidarity with your neighbours!

-Hear poetry, storytelling and spoken word for all ages by Ishrat Gazala, Amanpreet Bajwa & Pinar Aksu.

- Learn about Refugee and Asylum Seeker mental health awareness with Madhi Saki refugee advocate currently working as Programme Development Officer for Refugees and Asylum Seekers @MentalHealthFoundation.

- Have a go at screen & block printing onto T-shirts and fabric with artist/activist @KengKengwatt. *bring along a t-shirt!

-Collective planting flower seedlings and sowing seeds at the millennium park in with Woodlands staff Vicki Fleck. Including sunflowers, soniashnyk, in solidarity with Ukraine

- Learn about Nico Ndlovu 's podcast SIYAKHULAMA.

- Learn about our Anti-Racist Community Library in partnership with Aye-Aye Books.

- Explore our language exchange table.

- Make Zines!

- Enjoy kids activities and games
(including Nordic slinging)

- Free Samosas and vegan bakes
