Please join us for our weekly online Climate Action 2021 Coffee Chats, where each week we will chat about a different topic relating to the climate crisis, to offer support, advice or even just a sympathetic ear as well as connect community members during these isolating times.
There is a lot to feel nervous about these days, and while the effects of the pandemic are often in the forefront of most of our minds, many of us are simultaneously combating anxiety related to the climate crisis.
Please join us for our regular Monday Zoom chat, to let us know what ideas you have and what would best support and interest you personally and those of you with families surrounding the Climate Emergency and how to move forward collectively.
This week we will be discussing Green Energy - Renewables and Nuclear
Current renewable energy sources may not be as sustainable as we think. A frantic sprint towards solar and wind energy may create significant environmental issues for the future.
We will debate nuclear energy and its significant threats - such as risk of radioactive leaks, facilitation of the development of nuclear weapons and compact, but hazardous waste.
Please join us for this discussion!
