MORE INFO

Climate Outreach:

Climate Outreach is the first British charity to focus exclusively on public engagement with climate change. Climate Outreach is passionate about widening and deepening public engagement with climate change, achieving this through audience research, practical guides and consultancy services, and helping hundreds of organisations engage diverse audiences beyond the usual suspects. This workshop will be facilitated by Fahmida Miah online.

The session and why it's relevant:

  • This session will be an introduction to the impact of climate change on patterns of human movement

  • We know particular communities and countries are bearing the burden of climate change more intensely than others, this session will showcase testimonies from across the world to amplify the voices of those most impacted

  • It will explore how migration takes on many different forms and works as climate adaptation, and other key migrant justice concepts

  • It will also discuss dangerous narratives and their impact on the discussion and how to overcome this in communications with examples
