Community Flag Project

  • Woodlands Community Garden 91 West Prince's Street Glasgow, Scotland, G4 9BY United Kingdom (map)

A collective project to create a set of bright flags which will reflect how the past 6 months has affected you. Our aim is to bring a splash of colour and a feeling of solidarity to the community, whether that’s with messages of hope and kindness or sadness and struggle. The act of making something together as a community can help make you feel good and part of something, which we could all do with a wee bit of!

From 16th September, come along in your own time to:
1. Collect a flag & materials (or contact us to deliver to you locally)
2. Take home to decorate with your own personal message
3. Drop back in the collection box

Katherine will then sew it all together and we will ceremoniously raise it among the trees in Millennium Park, Ashley Street on Friday 23rd October 3.30pm where it will remain for the weekend.

Flag & materials pick up:

Every day from Wednesday 16th September onwards, the garden gate is open 24/7

Location: Woodlands Community Garden hub entrance (just next to the community pantry)

If you live local to Woodlands we can also deliver this to you, contact katherine@woodlandscommunity.org.uk or 07547402994
