The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the lives of people around the world in ways few of us would have predicted. With global lockdowns, the closure of many sectors of the economy and 'new types of normal', the impact and rapid changes brought about by the pandemic have been unprecedented in our lifetimes.
During 2019 many cities, governments and countries declared a climate emergency, yet the speed and scale of response to the Climate Emergency seems very different in nature and scale to that we have witnessed in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In this interactive event, we will explore the linkages and differences between these two crises. We will ask what can be learnt from the way that people, cities and communities have reacted to Covid. And explore whether the changes in our behaviour patterns in relation to work, travel and consumption that have occured during Lockdown - are temporary or likely to become more permanent.
Free event, open to all, irrespective of your prior knowledge of climate issues
