Come and join us on Sunday 1st November for a special Diwali celebration. Diwali is celebrated by people all over the world as a time to mark the triumph of knowledge over ignorance, a time to shine some light in the darkness, and to come together with community in joy and peace.

We will have storytelling from Gauri Raje, crafts for all ages, board games, a photo booth, South Asian snacks, a pop up version of our Anti-Racist Library, Anam’s chai in a warm, indoor space.

We also invite you to dress to feel proud of your heritage and culture. 

A selection of books from our Anti-Racist library will be available, come along for a chat, to borrow a book or to return one you’ve finished with. There are books for all ages.

Running alongside the celebrations, our Warm Welcome café will be happening, as usual, from 1-4pm, downstairs in GAMH/Flourish House. Come along for a plant-based, halal meal. Our Warm Welcome Café is free and open to everyone. If you would like to support our work and can afford to donate, you can make a voluntary donation on a sliding scale.

Drop in no reservation necessary, all welcome.
