Women of Woodlands (WOW) are offering the opportunity for women in the area to attend a 9 week Personal Safety course with Wise Women. It is open to every woman (trans and non-binary inclusive) regardless of age, abilities and fitness levels.

This personal safety course focuses on what abilities women already have and also on developing new skills to increase our sense of safety. We will leave with options for making informed decisions on what can be done to remove or decrease the risk of violence and crime in our lives. The course includes support, information, education, skill sharing, awareness raising and techniques for identifying avoiding and escaping potentially dangerous situations as well as challenging damaging women blaming attitudes and building women’s confidence and self esteem.

Spaces are limited. Priority will be given to members of the Women of Woodlands (WOW) group AND women living in the local area of Woodlands and surrounding areas of Woodlands, Cowcaddens, Woodside, Firhill, Queens Cross, Wester Common, Hamiltonhill and Possilpark. Please be mindful of this when signing yourself up.
