Gentle yoga & Meditation class with Woodlands Community Centre

Level: Open to all levels, Suitable for beginners

An awakening yoga class designed to stretch out and open up your body, energising you for the day ahead. It incorporates gentle sequences to warm up the body, as well as slower paced movements focusing on alignment, balance, and flexibility. At the end of the class we will use different guided meditations and mindfulness techniques to enter a deeply restful and relaxing state. By switching on the parasympathetic nervous system, this practice helps reverse the effects of stress and cultivates a sense of equanimity and relaxation.
This combination of movement with stillness will leave you feeling uplifted, calm and centred.

What you will need:
• Yoga mat
• Blocks (optional but useful)

This class is funded by Woodlands Community Trust which means it is free to attend!

The class will take place online through ZOOM so you will need a computer and an internet connection. To join in just press on the link below and add the password.

I am a Yoga and Pilates teacher with experience in holding space for classes, workshops, and ceremonies. My classes are a movement exploration combining insight and knowledge from ancient practices and informed by the modern understanding of the body and the nervous system. I strive to bring a balance in my teaching, of flexibility and strength, of stillness and movement, of grounding and spirituality.
