There is a lot to feel nervous about these days, and while the effects of the pandemic are often in the forefront of most of our minds, many of us are simultaneously combating anxiety related to the climate crisis.
Please join us for our weekly Climate Action 2021 Coffee Chats on our community terrace, where each week we will chat about a different topic relating to the climate crisis, to offer support, advice or even just a sympathetic ear as well as connect community members during these isolating times.
This week we will be discussing cheese! It’s widely accepted that adopting a plant-based diet is the best thing an individual can do to mitigate their own effect on climate change, and very often cheese is found to be the hardest thing to give up. But what is the climate impact of cheese? What goes into it? Why is it prudent to eschew cheese and other dairy products? While we discuss this topic we will have a variety of plant-based cheeses to try out to see how they stack up against what we’re used to!
Please join us! The climate chat will be hosted on our community terrace at 66 Ashley Street.
Email, text or call Xander on xander@woodlandscommunity.org.uk or 07708 474895 to register for this event for free.
Tea/coffee and vegan bakes will be provided!
