IN PERSON Woodlands Climate Action 2021 Coffee Chats - Are Electric Cars Really Green?

  • 66 Ashley Street Glasgow United Kingdom (map)

There is a lot to feel nervous about these days, and while the effects of the pandemic are often in the forefront of most of our minds, many of us are simultaneously combating anxiety related to the climate crisis.

Please join us for our weekly Climate Action 2021 Coffee Chats on our community terrace, where each week we will chat about a different topic relating to the climate crisis, to offer support, advice or even just a sympathetic ear as well as connect community members during these isolating times.

This week we will be discussing and comparing electric cars with their petrol-run, more typical counterparts. Electric cars are growing exponentially in popularity the world over as a sustainable alternative to the gas-guzzling cars we’re used to, but are they all they’re cracked up to be? Are electric cars actually the environmental panacea some claim they are? How do they actually compare to ordinary cars?

Please join us! The climate chat will be hosted on our community terrace at 66 Ashley Street.

Email, text or call Xander on xander@woodlandscommunity.org.uk or 07708 474895 to register for this event for free.

Tea/coffee and vegan bakes will be provided!
