MORE INFO

Want to learn identification tips and develop knowledge of how to identify birds more astutely? Join bird enthusiast and artist Scott Rogers for our three upcoming extra special walks.

As a group we will walk to interesting green spaces nearby Woodlands (Kelvingrove Park, the Botanic Gardens, Forth & Clyde Canal) paying attention to different birds that are occupying the city. Scott will point out particular species and provide insights about their plumage, calls, behavior, and habitat. The pace will be relaxed and questions and conversations are welcomed throughout. If you have binoculars please bring them along. Scott will also provide a spotting scope that will be setup to view particular birds when possible. Species we might expect to observe include Kingfisher, Dipper, Grey Wagtail, Grey Heron, Stock Dove, and many more. This is a relaxed walk where we will connect with nature and our community. We will take into account all paces of mobility and speed.

Please feel free to bring your questions or stories about recent observations you'd like to share. All contributions are very welcome!

For novice birders and avid fans alike. It is not necessary for you to have been present for any previous workshops. New attendees welcome!

Please join us ! No reservation necessary. Drop in.
