Meetings & Fresh Beginnings in Movement with Penny Chivas

  • Woodlands Community Outdoor Terrace 66 Ashley Street (lower level) Glasgow United Kingdom (map)

Welcome to the very first event ever happening on the Woodlands Community Workspace Terrace!

In these morning sessions, we work with some gentle movements to lengthen, loosen and feel. Welcoming ourselves back to moving alongside friendly faces, we'll move through simple exercises around rhythm, leading and following, and borrowing movements from others.

These classes are designed to keep our physical distance and yet connect and work together again in a supportive environment. Options to attend do include drop-in, although participants are encouraged to come for all six and build a collaborative movement group. No prior dance experience required and emphasis will be on using our movement to build connections.

As best as possible in our current times, classes are inclusive, please do get in touch with any specific needs. Do come dressed appropriately for the Scottish summer weather! We will notify participants of cancellations due to weather by email by 10am the morning of the class. Each week our re-schedule date will be Saturday morning from 10:30 - 11:30am.
