Our baby groups have never been busier, but we lack the funding we need to keep them going.
Our grant funding finished in the autumn and we've been using our limited reserves to fund twice weekly baby groups that support over 30 families.
Please make a donation if you can.
We set up our Little Baby Garden Group in April 2021 to provide vital help to new parents suffering from isolation during the pandemic. A year later we're so busy that we've added a second weekly session, along with monthly weekend playgroups.
Parents attending the group describe it as "a real lifeline" and "really friendly and welcoming."
£1500 would help us to run 15 - 20 baby groups whilst we wait to hear the outcomes of funding applications we have submitted. This will keep our groups going until at least April, when new grant funding will hopefully begin.
Parents routinely tell us that the group is the highlight of the week, giving them a safe and friendly space to meet other parents with similar aged children. The groups have helped to foster vital friendships for parents who are isolated or struggling financially. There are no other equivalent group in the area. As the group is free, it's inclusive to parents on low incomes.
Our grant funding ended in the autumn of 2022. Since then we have been using our limited reserve funds to keep the groups going. We're hoping to raise enough money to keep our groups going until April, when new grant funding decisions are due.
