Part of FROM THE LOCAL TO THE GLOBAL,
our 2 week CLIMATE EMERGENCY EVENTS PROGRAMME for COP26
Extinction Rebellion Glasgow invites you to spend some time with others away from the busy fray of COP.
4.30pm - 6.30pm: Tea and chat
Join us for a beverage and a blether. Connect with fellow activists and members of the local community. Take a stroll in the Woodlands Woodlands Community Garden to relax and unwind.
4.45pm - 5.15pm: From Red Clydeside to a Green Revolution - Singing Our Way to Freedom
Singing workshop will be hosted by Pauline, with time to socialise and unwind afterwards. We all need inspiration to keep us going. I get inspired by the songs and stories of Glasgow’s revolutionary period known as Red Clydeside (1910s-1930s), its hidden heroes and heroines. Also struggles against war, abuse, racism, injustice, homophobia, big corporations and for our planet. All our struggles are connected. Come along, bring a song, story, join in or just listen and be inspired!
All are welcome, whether you want to actively participate or just sit down for a chat. Hot drinks and vegan snacks will be provided.
