Remembering Esther - garden, stories and reflection.

  • Woodlands Community Garden 91-101 West Princes Street Glasgow G4 9BY (map)

Part of FROM THE LOCAL TO THE GLOBAL,

our 2 week CLIMATE EMERGENCY EVENTS PROGRAMME for COP26

To celebrate our friend Esther Brown and all women who have been affected by gender-based violence, join us in Woodlands Community Garden where we’ll get our hands dirty in the soil, weeding and tidying for winter - working together and sharing stories and poetry in the place that Esther loved so much. We’ll have hot drinks and rain cover available on the Events Terrace.

This will be a healing, comforting and empowering gathering. We’ll celebrate Esther's way of being through acts of kindness, compassion and collaboration - and reflect on her passion for the environment and tackling climate change.

TAKING PLACE AT WOODLANDS COMMUNITY GARDEN as well as our EVENTS TERRACE

This event is hosted by our Women of Woodlands Support Group, but is open to all. The group was set up this summer in response to the rape and murder this summer of our dear friend Esther Brown.
