MORE INFO

If you had your own cinema, what kind of films would you show? Have you ever wanted to organise your own film screenings, but wouldn’t know where to begin? Do you love films, but hate the cinema? Or are you a regular cinema goer who naps through every scene? Rosa and Nicola from Glasgow Film Theatre want to hear all about it!

GFT are chatting to communities across the city about their cinema experiences and film favourites, to inform future programming and events and ensure cinema is accessible, safe and welcoming for the widest possible audience.

Have a go at planning your own film festival, enter a film-themed raffle or just drop in and chat with the team over a cup of tea and a vegan meal. GFT are keen to hear from as many people as possible and welcome any and all questions and ideas.

This pop up will coincide with Woodlands Community's Community Cafe, with refreshments and pay-what-you-can hot vegan meals available.

If you can’t make this event, but are keen to be involved in GFT’s community consultation, email Rosa Cato for more information: rosa.cato@glasgowfilm.org

About the organisers

Organised by Glasgow Film Theatre with Woodlands Community. GFT is operated by Glasgow Film, an educational charity which also runs the award-winning Glasgow Film Festival and Glasgow Youth Film Festival. Located just off Sauchiehall Street, GFT is the city’s original independent cinema and the home of film in Glasgow.

Woodlands Community Development Trust creates spaces and opportunities that bring people together to empower community action and foster a sense of belonging.

Accessibility

The terrace is fully wheelchair accessible with gender neutral, accessible toilets. The event is designed to be relaxed and informal, and we welcome children and young people under adult supervision. It will take place outdoors but under cover. Please bring weatherproof and warm layers to keep cosy.
