Wellbeing Walks
Friday 19th August 5:30 - 7:30pm
Meeting place: Woodlands Community Garden
If you’re feeling socially isolated, find you are struggling with your mental health, would like to meet some new people or would even like to be more active physically to improve your health and wellbeing, please join us. We’ll take into account different mobility issues and pace.
Walk leader Claire will look after you and guide you along the route, encouraging connections and introduce you to topics for discussion around wellbeing (ie pausing at different points to do some nature reflection). We’ll start and end in Woodlands Community Garden.
Join Claire for her walk, “tuning in the flow of the seasons with Nature’s Being”
This walk will take us into your green local areas, Kelvingrove Park and the Kelvin walkway. We will tune into the season by stepping into nature’s world, meeting the plants and listening to them. We will also pause and take time to go inward, feeling into our bodies and witnessing what resonates with us.
We will end the session by sharing of cup of a seasonal foraged tea. This will include a short meditation to awaken the senses and will allow us to connect to the plant used for the tea.
This programme of walks is free, though if you are able to we ask that you donate to Woodlands Community which helps go towards ensuring that we can continue to run wellbeing activities like this. You can donate here.
These walks are drop in. No reservation is necessary just show up! We look forward to welcoming you.
