Woodlands Climate Action 2021 Coffee Chats - Domestic Food Waste

There is a lot to feel nervous about these days, and while the effects of the pandemic are often in the forefront of most of our minds, many of us are simultaneously combating anxiety related to the climate crisis.

Please join us for our weekly online Climate Action 2021 Coffee Chats, where each week we will chat about a different topic relating to the climate crisis, to offer support, advice or even just a sympathetic ear as well as connect community members during these isolating times.

This week we will be discussing domestic food waste, including an overview of why food waste is such a pervasive, intersectional and critical issue as well as ways we as individuals can contribute greatly towards mitigating the associated impact food waste has on the climate crisis. This can include the upkeep of a compost bin, awareness of the difference between “Use By”, “Best By” and “Sell By” as well as coming up with innovative ways to use parts of fruits and veg which we would otherwise consider destined for the bin.

Please join us!

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
