  • Craft activities for all ages.

  • Musician Ray Aggs will lead a trad session around the fire in the Community Garden for everyone to enjoy.

  • Singing from Woodlands Community Choir, led by Suzanne Houston. Suzanne will also lead us all in singing, “Sow, Tend, Gather Return” [A Seed Library song] arr. Jane Lewis and play some accordion and ukulele tunes.

Dress warm and bring the good vibes. Let's celebrate our amazing community as the year draws to a close and think about what we want to achieve in the next 15 years!

A decision will be made on Saturday regarding weather.  If the weather is wet then there will be no activities in the garden and all outdoor activities will be upstairs in GAMH Community Hub / Flourish House [23-25 Ashley St, G3 6DR].

*The Phola Tree Of Life Methodology, developed in South Africa, is a culturally sensitive system which uses drawing and conversation to bring people’s “second story’ to the fore. Instead of focusing on a person’s challenges, the Tree Of Life shines a light on their strengths. It recognises that we all live in community and have skills and customs that give us peace and support.

Musicians Bios:

Ray Aggs is a multi instrumentalist and songwriter based in Glasgow. Aggs, a prolific specialist in euphoric post-punk, has achieved international acclaim with collaborative touring projects Trash Kit, Shopping and Sacred Paws. Creating zines and co-ordinating workshops that encourage women, non-binary people, and people of colour to form bands, Aggs has galvanised the DIY scene in the UK. Ray also led monthly POC trad music sessions at Woodlands Community over the last couple of years and has volunteered with our Anti-Racist Library and wider outreach.

Suzanne Houston is a Glasgow based multi instrumentalist specialising in Scottish folk music. She is a stalwart of the city's vibrant music scene, and her performing career has taken her across Europe. Her teaching experience includes years of lecturing musicianship at RCS, with a particular love of harmonic theory.
