Am I eligble to receive a veg box?
The veg box is available to people who live in or nearby to Woodlands.
Examples of people who could benefit include those who:
are struggling financially
are under increased family pressure due to cost of living increases
want to learn more about the links between food and climate change
want to move towards having a more low carbon diet
have an underlying health condition and want to eat more healthy food
I don’t live in Woodlands, am I still eligible?
We are primarily offering this service to local people, ie those who either live in Woodlands or within walking distance of our Ashley Street premises. Subject to our budget limitations, there is a degree of flexibility on this, so do get in touch if you live outside the area and you are in particular need of help.

Am I guaranteed a veg box every time?
We can’t guarantee a veg box every time, but will do our best to accommodate you if you have an urgent need for support. At times of high demand, due to our budget limits we normally prioritise veg boxes to local people* who have support needs such as financial insecurity, underlying health issues or caring responsibilities.
*people living in G3, G4, G12 or G20 postcodes
Where do I collect my veg box from?
Your veg box must be collected in person from our premises at 66 Ashley Street, G3 6HW, between 9.30 a.m and 5.30pm.
Do you deliver?
Unfortunately not at the moment but this is something we are looking into for the future.
How much does it cost?
The veg box is available on a pay what you can afford basis. If you cannot afford to pay anything then that is absolutely fine too. We leave it up to you to decide how much you can afford to contribute.
What is included in the box?
The contents of the boxes will vary with what is currently in season. It will include a mix of fruit and vegetables.
