Taking time. Taking time to open our senses. Taking time to be with our surrounds.
In this one-hour movement workshop we'll explore how our natural environment can be a source of nourishment and support and open pathways to dialogues between trees and ourselves. Penny has been exploring how we use embodied and felt practices to be WITH, blurring lines between clearly defined terms of 'plant' and 'human' to embrace a closer and authentic ecological relationship to our world.
Practice originally developed as part of Vanessa Grasse's remote working group 'Mesh' and 'The Land We Are', supported by Arts Council England. Find further information here.
This class will meet in the Queen's Crescent Garden which is located across from the entrance to the Woodlands Community Garden. On the 19th and 20th of September Woodlands Community Garden is celebrating it's 10 year anniversary with a wee event including local history tours, bike repairs, Climate Action activities, and local zines.
This class is an excellent way to honour the deep and subtle way the community garden and all plants, trees and green spaces have offered us so much over these years, especially during this year of so much uncertainty. After the class come along and join in the fun! You can find all the details for the WO/CO celebration on our What's On page.
