Volunteer Led Cycle Ride & Discussion
Join members of Woodlands Community on a Sustainable Buildings Bike Tour led by Woodlands Volunteer and Sustainable Materials consultant bike enthusiast James Robb.
Meet at our Events Terrace at 9.45am, for a 10am departure. We will return for 1PM where there will be an opportunity to engage with Not1More's Climate Action work around Cycling & Climate Justice.
The route has a focus on sustainability (sustainable buildings in particular) and will largely follow the route of the Forth & Clyde canal and the River Kelvin, with a short stretch on road. It is beginner / intermediate level. Please bring your bike in good working order. Along with water, snacks. And bring a packed lunch if you’d like.
The route is 10km in length, starting and finishing at the Woodlands Community Events Terrace. Points of interest include : Woodside Flats / National Theatre HQ / Emmaus / Claypits / Whitehouse Inn / Bantaskin Street / Wyndford Estate / Woodlands Community Garden.
Chat along the way on topics such as active travel, retrofit, reuse of materials, smart infrastructure, renewable energy, health & wellbeing, self build housing and biodiversity.
