MORE INFO
A Palestine Solidarity group bike ride to Glasgow Women’s Library to visit the Peace Arbour exhibition on its final day https://womenslibrary.org.uk/event/peace-arbour/
The group will cycle through Kelvingrove Park, following a cycle route out through Anderston and then along the Broomielaw to Glasgow Green and on to GWL. Most of this route is on cycle paths.
We will have a cuppa and biscuits at the Library / or Outlier Coffee, London Rd and then head in to George Square for whatever might be happening as part of Palestine Solidarity.
Bring your Palestine flags and your solidarity. Sumud! Let's do it. This ride will be lead by our amazing cycle volunteers babs Nicgriogair and Eleanor Paul.
In addition to showing Palestine Solidarity this is a great opportunity to get out, be active and socialise. This ride is for advanced beginners/intermediate cyclists. It will help build cycle confidence and connect with other local cyclists. For the safety of the group, children are welcomed on the back of a bike on a child seat/trailer or eCargo bike.
Confident accompanied child cyclists are welcomed above the age of 12+ that you feel will not slow down the pace of the group.
You can view full route here:
We are also using this opportunity to plan a larger scale Palestine Solidarity bike ride where we are in the processes of connecting with Gaza Sun Birds, raising awareness to provide community-led aid to Gaza.
