Over the last few months we’ve seen many of our running costs go up by over 20% meaning we have had to dip into our reserves to meet costs that in the past would have been covered by grant income. With the cost of living crisis biting, grant funding is becoming ever more competitive. Half our staff team are currently on short term contracts and without raising funds from non-grant sources, we are worried that we will have to make cuts to our services, at a time when community needs are greater than ever.

The income from the friends scheme helps us to plug gaps in our funding and sustain services including our family work, mental health and food support and pioneering anti-racist community library.

By signing up as a friend you’ll be making a real contribution to our work and help us respond to community needs. Being a friend also qualifies you for our ebike hire scheme which we will be launching later in 2023 and we are looking into ways in which friends can get togther for social events and other opportunities.
